<back                        My favourite dishes & supplementation.

<-The most often I eat: Bread (usually + oil)vegetables (eg tomatoes, chicory), soy cutlets; fruits.
-Usually, I eat 2 times a day.>

-(Fried) bread + eg apple + eg soybean, sometimes + horseradish; soups (e.g. potato soup);
-Fruits (Especially apples, pears, bananas, tangerines, grapes, cranberry, dried figs; in the season: Plums, cherries, strawberries, blueberry, etc.);
-Spinach + garlic; Fried potatoes; Bread + eg carrot + tap water, jacket potatoes + oil;
-Soy cutlets (fried without coating); hazelnuts, linseed, Italian nuts; corn flakes, peanuts, almonds;

      

-Boiled potatoes, gram, >Tempeh;
-Pickled cucumber soup;
-Toasted bread dipped in oil, brussels sprouts, asparagus, kohlrabi, dumplings;
-Pickled cucumbers; pickled cabbage, boiled beetroot, mushrooms (eg oyster mushrooms), green beans;
-Bread + mustard + okara / e.g. tomato;

 

-Broad bean, lentils, bean, peas, French fries;
-Smoked, fried tofu;
-(Eg oatmeal, bran, cranberry, hemp seeds, linseed, pumpkin seeds) + tap water;
-Pancakes + eg champignons / spinach & garlic /  okara / gram spread / vinaigrette (Pancake batter: flour, water, oil [very small amount], salt);

 

-"Tomato soup" (Rice / pasta, water, tomato puree);
-Vegetable spring rolls; dumplings with spinach;
-Bean spread; beetroot soup, eggplant;
-Fried: pumpkin, celery, broccoli, zucchini, squash; fried vegetables mix;

   

-Salads: e.g. grated carrot + apple; letcho;
-Groats + oil; beet + horseradish, pasta, popcorn;
-( Cakes with zucchini / squash, potato cutlets ) + e.g. catchup; clover a la spinach;

<-Generally I use canola oil. It has e.g. omega-3 fatty acids.
-I eat rather wholemeal bakery products. I like rolls.
-I eat e.g. soya together with carbohydrates (good plant protein assimilation).>

-An example of my supplementation (I'm an adult male <65 yrs). The most important are: (usually during eating):  vegan multivitamin with minerals (the iron free version) [it has e.g. 100 mcg of B12] (1 tablet daily), & calcium (about 300 mg daily). Sometimes, I add pills to water, or to beverage.

 

-Sometimes, I take magnesium (When I have muscle cramps).
-Generally woman need more iron and foil acid. Don't get anemia.

   

-Apparently, scientists have found: that sugar is more addictive than amphetamine. I was stopping of using of sugar very gradually, in about 2010 - 11.
>How long to cook eg bean.

   

-I generally only eat the salt in the eg bakery products. I don't use salt for eg boiling.
-How I cook soybeans: I soak for about 12 hours. Cook for 2 hours (Or, cook for eg 1h 20m, cover hot pot with eg a towel, and wait eg 1h). Can be frozen. Before eating, I often fry it.

 
 

-More than once, I am guided by the sentence: "Get up early. Eat breakfast like a beggar. Don't eat dinner. Eat supper like a king and go to sleep."
